The principal and a teacher of the school have been arrested on charges of attempting to sexually abuse a 12-year-old girl studying in grade 7 of Janajagruti Secondary School in Chautara Sangachokgadhi Municipality-12 of the district.
According to Superintendent of Police Kazi Kumar Acharya of the District Police Office, Sindhupalchowk, both of them have been taken into custody and an investigation has been launched. According to the victim, teacher Jitraj Giri is accused of trying to misbehave with the girl who went to buy a pencil at a stationery shop near the school on the evening of Magh 2. After the incident, the girl opened up to her friend and the incident was made public at the school on Magh 3.
