One person has been injured in a school van accident in Mandandeupur Municipality-9 of the district.
The accident occurred at 9:50 am on Wednesday morning at Jitauri Pokhari in Mandandepur-9 due to brake failure of a van bearing the number Ba 1 Ja 8672 of Navaprathiba English School. The van fell about 6 meters off the road.
The van driver, 24-year-old Dipika Dhakal of Mandandepur-7, was injured in the accident, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bista, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Kavre. According to him, the five students in the van are safe.
The injured driver has been taken to Patan Hospital via Dhulikhel Hospital for further treatment.
