More than 94 percent of the votes were cast in the voting for two National Assembly seats from Bagmati Province.
Out of 104 provincial assembly members, 89 voted. 15 did not come to vote. Out of 234 local level mayors/deputy mayors/chairmen and vice-chairmen, 229 voted. 5 did not attend to vote. There were 338 voters including provincial assembly members and municipal mayors, deputy mayors, chairmen and vice-chairmen. Out of them, 20 did not vote.
13 provincial assembly members of the RPP, including 12 and one mayor, did not participate in the vote. RPP parliamentary party leader Uddhav Thapa said, “We did not have any candidates and there was no coordination with any party. That is why we did not participate in the election.”
2 provincial assembly members of our Nepal Party did not vote, while not a single member of the Nepali Communist Party participated in the vote. Shankharapur Mayor Ramesh Napit, Dudhauli Mayor Dinesh Adhikari, Bigu Rural Municipality Chairman Sanjeev Oli, Godavari Municipality Deputy Mayor Muna Adhikari and Helambu Rural Municipality Vice President Apsara Lama did not come to vote.

'We will count the votes after holding an all-party meeting at the polling station itself,' said Election Officer Geeta Shrestha. The polling station was set up at Bhutan Devi Secondary School in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-4 for Bagmati Province.
Geeta Devkota from the Congress in the women's quota, Saroj Kumari Jha from the NCP and Kabita Maharjan from the Nepal Workers and Farmers Party are the candidates. From other groups, Prem Prasad Dangal from UML, Prem Prasad Sapkota from CPN and Bikram Dukuchhu from NEMKIPA have filed their candidacies. Here, Congress and UML have coordinated their candidacies.
A provincial assembly member will have 53 votes and the local level chief and deputy chief will have 19 votes. The Congress has 36 seats in the Bagmati provincial assembly, while the local level has 107 seats including the chief and deputy chief. Similarly, UML has 25 seats in the provincial assembly and 59 seats at the local level, the then Maoist Center has 20 seats in the provincial assembly and 56 seats at the local level, the RPP has 12 seats in the provincial assembly and 1 seat at the local level. Similarly, the then CPN-Unified Socialist has 6 seats in the provincial assembly and 9 seats at the local level, the NEMKIPA has 3 seats in the provincial assembly and 2 seats at the local level, and Hamro Nepali Party has 2 seats in the provincial assembly and 1 seat at the local level.
