Fifteen independent candidates have filed their candidacies in two constituencies of Makawanpur for the House of Representatives elections.

Independent candidates from Makawanpur have received election symbols ranging from a goat's head to a pressure dog for the February 21 House of Representatives elections.

Independent candidate Amar Dangal of Makawanpur Constituency No. 1 has been given a goat's head, Raj Kumar Khadka a pressure cooker, Amik Pariyar a cauliflower, Tika Prasad Chaulagain a chess cap, and Pramila Kumari Khatiwada a contract election symbol. 

Similarly, Mithu Pulami Magar has been given a firfire, Rakesh Kumar Sharma a mango, Rajaram Bogati a jeep, Sushila Subedi a bag, and Gyansagar Lama a scissors, said Chief Electoral Officer Geeta Shrestha.

Similarly, independent candidate Amrit Bal of Constituency No. 2 has been given a triangle, Krishna Ram Shrestha a jeep, Pratiksha Baniya a contract, Ramesh Acharya a camera, and Sitamaya Bal a trophy election symbol, according to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Hetauda. 

15 independent candidates have filed their candidacies in two constituencies of Makawanpur for the election of members of the House of Representatives. 10 independent candidates have filed their candidacies in Constituency No. 1 and 5 in Constituency No. 2. The Chief Electoral Officer's office had given them election symbols after choosing independent candidates.

The candidates of political parties in the election fray were determined according to the election symbols registered with the Election Commission, informed Provincial Election Officer Hari Prasad Dhakal.

In Makawanpur, which has two constituencies, 44 candidates have filed their candidacies. All the candidacies were filed after no candidate from any party or independent withdrew their candidacies within the time specified by the Election Commission.

In Makawanpur Constituency No. 1, 23 candidates have filed their candidacies and in Constituency No. 21, 23 candidates have filed their candidacies, including 13 from various parties and 10 independent candidates, and in Constituency No. 21, 16 candidates have filed their candidacies from various parties and 5 independent candidates.
