One person has died in a road accident on the Kanti Lokpath road section in Aanpachaur, Bakaiya Rural Municipality-11, Makawanpur district.

The accident occurred on Thursday afternoon when a truck (Bapr 03-001 Ka 0952) heading from Jitpur Bhanjyang to Thingan collided with a scooter (MPr 03-039 Pa 5644) coming from the opposite direction, the District Police Office, Makawanpur, has informed.

The scooter driver, Anurag Shrestha, aged around 50, of Panitanki, Birgunj-10, Parsa district, was seriously injured in the accident. He was rescued and sent to Hetauda Hospital for treatment. According to the police, doctors declared him dead during treatment.  The body of the deceased is currently kept at Hetauda Hospital.

The police have taken both the vehicles involved in the accident under control. The incident site is about 5 kilometers west-southwest of Area Police Office Thingan, Makawanpur.
