In view of the elections to be held on Falgun 21, an appeal has been made to surrender licensed weapons.
It has been urged to surrender guns, rifles, revolvers, pistols and other weapons in one's name within 15 days of the publication of the notice.
Keeping in mind the security sensitivity of conducting the House of Representatives elections in a fair, free, fearless and peaceful manner, the district administration has stated in the notice that licensed weapons kept by individuals in Makawanpur district should be surrendered to the nearest police post, area police office and district police office.
It has been stated that the surrendered weapons will be kept safely so that the weapon owners can return them one month after the elections.
