The written examination and interview of the Election Police were completed in Dhulikhel on Thursday as part of the election police selection process in Kavre for the House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21.

Out of the 2,269 election police officers required in Kavre for the election, 2,493 have applied. District Police Information Officer DSP Rabin Bista informed that 2,283 people participated in the exam held on Thursday. According to him, the results of the written exam and interview will be published on Magh 12.

He said that security arrangements will be tightened in the district during the election. According to him, out of the 189 polling stations in the district for the election, 23 are highly sensitive, 65 are sensitive, and 101 are normal.

He said that Nepal Police and its subordinate Election Police, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Army will be deployed for the election. According to him, there will be 24-hour patrols of polling stations and polling centers for the election, and the Election Police will be deployed especially at polling stations and centers. Of the 2,269 election police officers deployed in the district, 1,150 will be from Nepal Police and 350 from Armed Police Force.

There are 189 polling stations and 400 polling stations in the 2 constituencies of the district. 2400 employees and 1200 volunteers will be deployed during the voting. Each polling station will have one polling officer, one assistant election officer, 3 assistant election officers and 1 assistant, while 3 volunteers will be appointed by the local election officer.

Teachers will not be deployed in this election either. The criteria for appointing 3 volunteers in centers with more than 500 voters and 2 volunteers in centers with less than 500 voters have been set.

District Election Officer Dinesh Shiwakoti informed that out of 326,611 voters in the 2 constituencies of the district, 167,499 are men, 59,110 are women and 2 are others. According to him, there are 161,100 voters in constituency 1 and 165,511 voters in constituency 2.
