Makawanpur Police have arrested two people with narcotics from Thaha Municipality-10, Toukhel. The police have arrested auto driver Ghanshyam Bal Tamang, 29, of Thaha Municipality-4, Rupse, and Sanukancha Thing, 21, of Kailash Rural Municipality-5, Makawanpur, with 121 kg of hashish.
Based on a special tip-off that drug trafficking was taking place, a joint police team deployed from the Area Police Offices Palung and Chitlang arrested Tamang and Thing with 121 kg 466 grams of hashish hidden inside the auto while checking an auto bearing the number B.P.R.03-001 H 1507 that was heading towards Markhu from Toukhel. The District Police Office, Makawanpur, has informed that the police have recovered the hashish hidden inside 12 plastic containers. The police have extended the remand of both the arrested persons by 6 days from the Makawanpur District Court on Wednesday and are investigating.
