1,708 people have applied for election police positions in Bhaktapur for the House of Representatives elections to be held on February 21.

According to the District Police Office, Bhaktapur, 1,708 people have applied for the quota of 1,272. 

District Police Office Police Chief SP Surya Bahadur Khadka informed that preparations are underway to hold a written examination for the selection of election police on Magh 5. SP Khadka said that those who were previously temporary police officers will not have to take the written examination.

Applications for election police were opened in Bhaktapur from Poush 25 to Magh 1. The service period of election police will be 40 days.
