The Bagmati Provincial Government has decided to select and implement 32 projects as pride projects. The provincial government's Council of Ministers meeting held on Wednesday evening approved the province pride projects and multi-year projects proposed by various ministries.
According to government spokesperson and Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Prabhat Tamang, the government will take forward 32 projects in the province as pride projects. Under the pride projects, there are 17 projects of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure, 9 of the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, 3 of the Ministry of Tourism, and 3 of the Ministry of Health. Currently, only the titles of these projects have been approved and the Ministry of Economic Affairs will decide on the budget based on the financial management capacity.
The meeting passed a proposal with the name for multi-year projects and decided to proceed with the budget ceiling as agreed by the Ministry of Finance, said Spokesperson Tamang. The meeting also discussed the issue of salaries of personal secretaries, which has been stalled for some time, and decided to proceed with the process as prescribed by the provincial act.
It has been decided to prepare a draft of the provincial civil service regulations and send it to the Public Service Commission for consultation.
