A young man has died after falling from a tree in Makawanpur. 40-year-old Rajkumar Humagai of Makranchuli, Makawanpur Gadhi Rural Municipality-3, died after falling from a tree while he was cutting grass.

He fell from the tree while cutting grass in his garden, a hundred meters north of his house.

Humagai, who was seriously injured, was taken to the New Medical College in Chitwan for further treatment after receiving general treatment at Hetauda Hospital.

Police said he died on Saturday morning during treatment. According to the District Police Office, Makawanpur, 13 people died and 16 were injured in Makawanpur last fiscal year after falling from trees and cliffs.

In the current fiscal year, three people have died and seven people have been injured in Makawanpur after falling from cliffs.
