One person has died after being hit by a tipper truck in Kumiya, Bharatpur-22, Chitwan.
On Friday at 4:30 pm, a motorcycle (Na 24 Pa 5294) heading from Bharatpur to Madi collided with a tipper (Na 7 Kha 3683) coming from the opposite direction, killing the motorcycle driver, Suryanarayan Mahato, 35, of Bhairpur, Madi Municipality-2.
Police said that the seriously injured Mahato was taken to Bharatpur Hospital for treatment and was declared dead by doctors. Keshar Mahato, 36, of the same place, who was riding behind the motorcycle, was injured. He has an injury to his left hand and is undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital.
Police have taken the tipper driver, Dinesh Khatri, 30, of Devnagar, Bharatpur-6, into custody.
