The Bagmati Province Committee has overturned the controversial decision made by the CPN-UML Dolakha District Committee for the upcoming House of Representatives elections.
The UML's Bagmati Province Committee, which met on Thursday, decided to recommend all the candidates from Dolakha, said Bagmati Province Committee Deputy Secretary Bhakta Kumari Lama.
UML Dolakha had recommended Parbat Gurung's name as a single candidate, citing a majority decision. Overturning that decision, the Province Committee has decided to send the names of all the candidates to the center.
Dolakha UML had earlier resigned from the district committee, saying that the district chairman had acted in a selfish manner by not recommending candidates including Balkrishna Shiwakoti who had contested the election.
The Bagmati Province Committee has said that it has rejected the district's decision and sent the names of candidates Balkrishna Shiwakoti, Rachana Khadka, Parbat Gurung, Shyam Basnet and Dawal Pandey to the center.
