The new office building of Raksirang Rural Municipality has come into operation. The four-story, 43-room building has been constructed in Chainpur, the center of the rural municipality.
The building, which was supposed to be completed by Asad 2078 by Jayamata Engineering Construction Company, was completed four months later.
The building, which was built on about 7 acres of land at a cost of Rs 64.2 million, was inaugurated by Bagmati Province Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya on Wednesday.
Now, the residents of the municipality will be able to easily get services from a single building, said Rural Municipality Chairman Rajkumar Malla. With the inauguration of this building, all the offices and branches of the municipality have been brought under one roof.
The office of Raksirang Rural Municipality is currently in Chainpur. Before the construction of the new building, services were being provided to the residents of the municipality by constructing a mud building. The branches of health, agriculture and other organizations were housed in the buildings of other organizations.
Now, out of the 10 municipalities of Makawanpur, the administrative buildings of Manahari and Indrasarobar Rural Municipality are under construction.
