1,923 election police (field police) are to be recruited in Makawanpur for the upcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21. The election police are being recruited to ensure that the House of Representatives elections are conducted in a peaceful and free manner.
The District Police Office, Makawanpur, has stated that at least 33 percent of the total number to be recruited will be women.
According to Pushkar Bogati, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Makawanpur, applications for election police recruitment have been opened since Friday. Interested parties can apply until Magh 1. According to the notice made public by the Police Office, it is mentioned that applications will also be accepted on holidays.
According to the notice, priority will be given to former security personnel, former forest guards, and those who have applied for recruitment in various security agencies in the past and passed the physical fitness and health test.
The notice also mentions that priority will be given to those who have provided satisfactory service as temporary police in previous elections and Nepali citizens who have retired after working in security agencies of foreign countries.
Meanwhile, the Human Resource Development Department, Recruitment and Selection Branch, Police Headquarters, has issued a notice stating that 133,980 election police personnel are required across the country. The government has opened recruitment for the upcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21.
