Chiranjivi Subedi has been elected as the president of the Chitwan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The results of the voting held on Monday for the association's new working committee were announced on Tuesday morning.

Subedi won with 1,484 votes, while another candidate for the post of president, Shirish Pant, received 1,185 votes. Rajendra Oli, from Subedi's panel, was elected as the senior vice president of the association.

Two of the three vice presidents, Narayan Pradhan and Rajan Piya, have also won from Subedi's panel, and one vice president, Janak Poudel, has won from Pant's panel.

The association's 59th annual general meeting and convention were inaugurated on Saturday, Poush 19. 2,719 people voted on Monday to elect the new leadership of the association, which has 3,371 industrialists and business voters in Chitwan.
