The deceased Savita of Hetauda-4 is also a teacher at Navodaya Shishu Niketan in Hetauda .
Three people were injured in the accident . They are Sumo driver Ganesh Thapa, who lives in Hetauda-4, deceased Savita's 12-year-old son Abhyas Lamsal, and Richa Chaudhary, 21, of Chandrapur-2, Rautahat .
Driver Thapa and child Lamsal have been taken to Bharatpur for further treatment, said Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Makawanpur, Pushkar Bogati. Chaudhary is undergoing treatment at Hetauda Hospital.
The accident occurred when the Sumo No. 1 Ja 1778, coming from Kathmandu towards Hetauda, fell into a ravine about 100 meters below the road. Three light vehicles had also been involved in accidents at the same location before.
The vehicle carrying Foreign Employment Board chief Thaneshwor Devkota had an accident at the same location three years ago, killing Devkota and two others.
Since the vehicle is coming from Kathmandu, it is downhill and accidents often occur at that location without braking. There is no railing in that risk area.
The Sumo is at the scene of the accident. The accident site is located about 3 kilometers northeast of the Area Police Office, Bhimphedi.
