School uniforms and warm clothes have been distributed to 47 children of Janajagruti Basic School in Ratnawati Sokhukhola, remote Fikkal Rural Municipality-6, Sindhuli.

Siddhartha Bank Sindhuli branch has distributed suits, shoes, bags and other materials to the children studying in the school, located 21 km east of the district headquarters, so that they can wear them even in winter.

Principal Lokendra Bahadur Magar said that Siddhartha Bank was requested after children started absenting themselves from class due to lack of school uniforms and warm clothes.

The bank's social work and Madhesh Sub-Province Chief Surya Prasad Sharma Upadhyay said that the distribution was made to remote schools so that they would not be deprived of education due to lack of uniforms.

The bank spent 130,000 rupees to distribute uniforms and other materials, informed Branch Chief Kumar Karki. Students from the extremely poor, indigenous, Dalit, marginalized and other communities are studying in this school.
