An election officer's office has been established in Hetauda for the upcoming National Assembly member election to be held on Magh 11.

The office of the National Assembly Member Election Officer has been established in the building of the Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-5 Provincial Election Office, Makawanpur. 

Makawanpur District Judge and National Assembly Election Officer Geeta Shrestha, while inaugurating the office, said that everyone's cooperation is needed to complete the election. The National Assembly election is being held for 18 posts across the country on Magh 11. Elections are being held for two seats, including one woman, from Bagmati Province.

Among the women members of the National Assembly, Gangakumari Belbase of the then Maoist Center and Beduram Bhusal of the then Unified Socialist Party are ending their terms on Falgun 20. Voting will be held from here for two vacant seats, including one woman. 

According to the Election Commission's schedule, candidacy registration is scheduled for Poush 23. The polling place for Bagmati has been designated at Bhutan Devi Secondary School in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-4. Election Officer Shrestha said that there will be 2 polling stations at this polling station. Election Officer Shrestha and the heads of security agencies had monitored the polling stations on Wednesday.  

Provincial Assembly members and local level chiefs and deputy chiefs will be voters in this election. The number of voters in Bagmati will be 348. There will be 110 provincial assembly members and 238 local level chiefs and deputy chiefs. One provincial assembly member has 53 votes and a local level chief and deputy chief has 19 votes. 

Out of the total voter turnout in Bagmati Province, there are 10,352, of which the Congress has more than 4,000 votes. The Congress has 37 seats in the provincial assembly and 108 seats at the local level, including the chief and deputy chief. Similarly, the UML has 27 seats in the provincial assembly and 60 seats at the local level, the then Maoist Center has 21 seats in the provincial assembly and 57 seats at the local level. 

RPP has 13 seats in the provincial assembly and 1 seat at the local level, Unified Socialist Party has 7 seats in the provincial assembly and 9 seats at the local level, NEMKIPA has 3 seats in the provincial assembly and 2 seats at the local level, and Hamro Nepali Party has 2 seats in the provincial assembly and 1 seat at the local level.

In Bagmati, the current Nepali Communist Party (former Maoist Center and Unified Socialist Party) is seen as the second force after the Congress. With 28 seats of the NCP in the provincial assembly and 66 seats at the local level, the total vote share reaches 2,738. Similarly, UML's vote share is 2,571, RPP's 708, NEMKIPA's 197 and Hamro Nepali Party's 106.
