A motorcyclist has died after being hit by a tipper truck at Sipali Chowk in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-16 on the Dharan-Chatara road section.
A 10-wheeled tipper with Province 03-001 Ka 0143 heading towards Thulo Damar from Hetauda hit a motorcycle with Bagmati Province 03-003 Pa 3192, killing the motorcyclist, 42-year-old Man Bahadur Manandhar of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-17. Manandhar, who was injured in the tipper accident, died during treatment at the Old Medical College in Chitwan on Tuesday night. The motorcycle was also heading towards Thulo Damar from Hetauda when the tipper hit him and fled. Police immediately searched the tipper and took it under control, and the driver of the tipper, Tilak Bahadur Pakhrin of Makawanpur Gadhi Rural Municipality-7, came in contact with the police, said Puskar Bogati, Deputy Superintendent of Police and spokesperson of the District Police Office, Makawanpur.
