Warm school uniforms have been distributed to children from Karthali, Bahrabise Municipality-2, a remote area of the district, with the aim of protecting them from the cold.

With the help of the ward office, tracksuits were distributed to 523 children studying in 7 schools in the Karthali area on Monday, informed Ward Chairman Resham Bahadur Tamang. According to him, the ward has allocated a budget of Rs 800,000 to provide the clothes so that the children do not have difficulty going to school due to the cold weather.

'Children who are suffering from the cold are excited after being able to provide warm clothes,' said Ward Chairman Tamang.

The clothes distribution program was organized on the premises of Nepal National Secondary School on Monday. The program was attended by Deputy Mayor of Bahrabise Municipality Manju Tamang, Ward Chairman Resham Bahadur Tamang and other public representatives.

Along with the school uniforms, 200 caps were donated by former student Subash Khadka, according to the ward office. Locals say that this initiative, carried out in collaboration with the local level and the community, has brought relief to children in remote areas.
