On the occasion of the 5th National Senior Citizens Day, Madhyapur Thimi Municipality has organized a free health camp for senior citizens.
Madhyapur Thimi Municipality has stated that 110 senior citizens were provided with free medicines and 34 were provided with ultrasound services in the camp.
On the occasion of the day, the municipality has also established a day service center for senior citizens at the Indreni premises in Madhyapur-4.
Mayor Surendra Shrestha informed that free health check-ups of senior citizens will be conducted twice a month at the center.
The municipality has also provided free health insurance to senior citizens above the age of 58 within the municipality. Mayor Shrestha said that preparations are underway to establish 4 more service centers within the city.
