The 12th Street Food Festival is set to take place in Hetauda from Sunday.

Makawanpur Hotel Association is organizing a street food festival from Sunday at Chaur in Hoopra, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-4.  

With the slogan ‘Let’s go on the street, eat on the street, have fun on the street’, Hotel Association Makawanpur has been organizing a street food festival continuously for 11 years. The street food festival will be held from 4 pm to 9 pm until Poush 16, according to the organizers.

Various food dishes from cultural to modern will be sold at the festival. Local to national level artists will perform for entertainment. 

There will be about 60 stalls at the festival. A fee of Rs 10,000 will be charged for 4 days to set up a stall. The organizers have stated that special attention will be paid to the purity of the food ingredients and businessmen will be asked to manage waste daily. The food menu will have to be kept mandatory at each stall.

The organizers estimate that Rs 1.572 million will be spent on managing the festival. It is estimated that the stall will generate business of Rs 70 to 8 million. The organizers have stated that 30 to 40 thousand visitors will attend the festival.

An ambulance has been arranged by the Nepal Red Cross Society District Branch and a fire engine by the Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City for emergencies during the festival. Similarly, a team from Makawanpur Cooperative Hospital will provide emergency medical services.
