The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) Makawanpur has recommended the names of 21 people for the direct election and 14 people for the proportional representation for the House of Representatives elections scheduled to be held on February 21.

There are two constituencies of the House of Representatives in Makawanpur. The names of NCP leader and former minister Birodh Khatiwada, Constituent Assembly member Pralhad Lamichhane, and NCP leader duo Vijay Gautam and Dhan Prasad Gautam have been recommended from the House of Representatives No. 1 constituency. Similarly, the names of 13 people including Provincial Assembly member Prem Bahadur Pulami, District Coordination Makawanpur Chief Lalit Ghalan, Bhim Pakhrin, Sarkesh Ghalan, and Kishori Tandon have been recommended. For Constituency No. 2, NCP leader and former minister Birodh Khatiwada, NCP leader Ram Narayan Bidari, former mayor of Thaha Municipality Lavsher Bista, Provincial Assembly members Kumari Moktan, Bir Bahadur Ghalan, Kishor Bartaula, and Sagar Upreti have been recommended, said NCP Makawanpur coordinator Dhruv Bhujel.

Similarly, Co-Coordinator Bhujel said that 20 names including Munu Sigdel, Taranath Khatiwada, Dil Bahadur Syangbo, Bishnumaya Lama, Pramila Pulami, Laxmi Pakhrin, Balkrishna Chaulagain, Khushi Lal Chepang, Ramchandra Bal, Ramhari Subedi, and Krishna Chepang have been recommended for the proportional representation.
