Due to the increase in the number of voters in Makawanpur, nine (9) polling stations have been added. For the upcoming election to be held on Falgun 21, 9 polling stations have been added compared to the last election.
In the previous election, there were 167 polling stations in Makawanpur district. The same has been maintained even now, but the number of polling stations has increased by 9, said Hari Prasad Dhakal, chief of the Provincial Election Office, Hetauda.
‘In the previous election, there were 367 polling stations, now that number will increase to 376 polling stations,’ he said. In the previous election, there were 302,243 voters in Makawanpur.
But now, with 14,121 voters added, the number of voters has reached 301,16,364. The number of deceased voters is 201 and the names of 683 voters have been removed because they were voters in two districts, so the total number of voters in Makawanpur is 301,15,480, said Dhakal, chief of the Election Office.
