Bagmati Province Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya handed over a two-room, kitchen and toilet-equipped pucca house on Sunday. Chief Minister Baniya handed over the pucca house to 54-year-old Lal Kumar Chepang of Kailash-4 Dhusrang from the amount of service facilities he receives.
The house was built at a cost of 8 lakhs. The construction of the house was possible thanks to the activities of social workers Rajendra Ghising and Pawin Chepang of the municipality.
Handing over the house to the Chepang couple, who were living in a thatched house with a thatched roof, Chief Minister Baniya said that he built the house from the service facilities he receives. 'I did not enter politics to earn money, but to serve the poor and the needy,' he said.
Chepang was happy to get the pucca house and said, 'I never thought that I would be able to live in such a pucca house.'
Chief Minister Baniya built the pucca house on the basis of the recommendations made by the rural municipality. He had earlier built and handed over a pucca house to Mithumaya Sunar of Jyamire Barghare, Manahari Rural Municipality-9. A house is also under construction for Suman Singh Chepang of Indung, Raksirang Rural Municipality-1.
