Seven people have been injured in a road accident on the east-west road section at Pragati Chowk in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-9. At around 9:45 am on Thursday, an EV vehicle bearing the number Madhesh Province 01-001 Ja 0111, heading towards Ratomate from Hetauda Bazaar, hit a scooter bearing the number Ba.Pr. 03-006 Pa 975 coming from the opposite direction, according to the District Police Office, Makawanpur.

Meanwhile, the EV vehicle also hit a Scorpio pickup truck (Ba 17 Cha 4272) coming from the opposite direction towards Hetauda, ​​police said.

According to the police, all three vehicles, including the EV vehicle, scooter and Scorpio pickup, were damaged in the accident. The condition of all the injured is normal.

While undergoing treatment at the Hetauda Hospital, Saraswati Rana, 37, of Karra, Hetauda-4, who was riding the EV vehicle, has sustained an injury to her left hand. Hemsang Tamang, 66, of Shadananda Municipality-10, Bhojpur, who was riding the Scorpio, sustained head injuries and his wife, Rajkumari Tamang, 59, sustained injuries to both legs.

Among those taken to the Makawanpur Cooperative Hospital for treatment, the EV driver, Suman Lama, 25, of Ratomate, Hetauda-15, fainted on the spot but regained consciousness upon being brought to the hospital. Tika Prasad Timilsina, 78, of Bhalukhola, Makawanpurgadhi Rural Municipality-5, who was riding the EV, suffered an injury to his forehead. 

Scooter driver Deepak Rumba, 39, of Hetauda-9, sustained an injury to his right leg, while his 5-year-old daughter Gracie Rumba, who was riding the scooter, sustained an injury to her head.
