Sete Thing, 50, of Manahari Rural Municipality-6, Balbhanjyang, died on the spot after being shot by a friend when the loaded gun he was carrying exploded.
In the Sisneripakhera forest here, 45-year-old Gopal Blon, of Raksirang Rural Municipality-8, Rajrang, was walking forward with a loaded gun, while Sete was walking behind. They had gone hunting.
When Gopal, who was walking in front, got entangled in the debris and fell, the gun exploded and hit Sete, who was walking behind. He died on the spot, said Raju Prasad Kurmi, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Makawanpur.
The police have taken Gopal Blon under control along with two loaded guns and are taking legal action.
