13 tractors seized for illegally extracting and transporting riverine materials

Makawanpur police have taken into custody 13 tractors that were illegally mining and transporting riverine materials.

A team deployed from the District Police Office, Makawanpur and its subordinate police offices seized 13 tractors from various places in the district on Wednesday. 

The District Police Office, Makawanpur, has stated that the tractors bearing the numbers Na.5 Ta 7186, Ba.Pro.03-001 Ta 399, Province 2-03-001 Ta 4108, Na.7 Ta 2064, and Na.6 Ta 3566 were seized while illegally mining and transporting stones, gravel, and sand. 

Similarly, tractors bearing the numbers Na.3 Ta 1475, Na.6 Ta 9899, ​​Ba.Pr.03-001 Ta 474, Na.7 Ta 133, Ba.Pr.03-001 Ta 444, Na.4 Ta 4049, Pr.2-03-001 Ta 6768 and Pr.2-03-001 Ta 6480 have been taken under control, informed Police Inspector Raju Prasad Kurmi, Acting Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Makawanpur. 

Acting Spokesperson Kurmi said that a campaign has been launched to take control of tractors and other vehicles used to excavate and transport riverine materials, taking advantage of the current closure of the river.
