A motorcycle driver has died after it crashed into a container parked on the East-West Highway in Bastipur, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-19. The person riding behind the motorcycle has been injured.

The accident occurred at 11:40 pm on Tuesday when a motorcycle (Na 5 Kha 3587) coming from Chitwan to Hetauda collided with a broken-down container on the road, according to the Bagmati Province Police Office, Hetauda.

The motorcycle driver, Bal Krishna Adhikari, 30, of Gairibhanyang, Makawanpurgadhi Rural Municipality-2, and the passenger behind him, Bhawarjung Gurung, 48, of Pasachaur, Besisahar Municipality-10, Lamjung district, were injured in the accident.

The seriously injured driver, Bal Krishna Adhikari, was taken to Hetauda Hospital for treatment, where he died during treatment, according to the police. The passenger behind him, Bhawarjung Gurung, is undergoing treatment at CMC Churehill Hospital in Hetauda.

The container driver, Rajawali Ram, 24, of Dhobini Rural Municipality-2, Parsa district, was taken to the District Police Office, Makawanpur for further investigation, according to the police.
