Four people were injured in a bus accident that occurred on Sunday morning on the Kanti Lokpath road section in Bagdhara, Makawanpurgadhi Rural Municipality-1.

The bus (Ba 5 Kha 294) heading from Phaparbari, Bastipur in Makawanpur to Kathmandu lost control and overturned in a drain on the left side of the road due to brake failure, the District Police Office has said.

Police said that four passengers, one woman and three men, whose names and country of origin are yet to be revealed, were injured in the accident with moderate injuries. They are being treated at Makawanpur Cooperative Hospital.

Police said that the road at the scene was not blocked and the bus is still in place. Police have taken into custody the bus driver, Gokul Timalsina, 31, of Bakaiya Rural Municipality-10, Ambas.

The accident site is about 11 kilometers southwest of the Area Police Office, Thingan.
