One arrested with stolen motorcycle sold by escaped prisoner from Central Jail

Police have arrested a young man with a stolen and sold motorcycle on a road section near Hariyali, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-7.

During a routine check, the police took 21-year-old Abhishek Waiba, the driver of the motorcycle with registration number Ba 40 Pa 4295, into custody after he did not have the vehicle documents. After the documents were not found, the motorcycle and the driver were brought to the Area Police Office and further investigation revealed that the vehicle was sold by 26-year-old Rajesh Khati, a resident of Bhorle.

According to the police, Khati is one of the escaped prisoners who escaped from the Central Jail in Sundhara, Kathmandu during the Gen-G agitation on Bhadra 23 and 24.

Police investigation has shown that Khati stole the motorcycle and sold it to Waiba. Khati has been arrested again and is being held in the Central Jail, according to the District Police Office, Makawanpur.

Police said that the necessary legal process has been initiated regarding Waiba and the motorcycle.
