The construction of an administrative building for a rural municipality in the eastern part of Makawanpur has been completed with the aim of providing municipal services under one roof. The building is scheduled to be inaugurated on Wednesday.

Construction work began in Ashar, 2079. According to the last extension of the deadline, the construction work should have been completed by mid-Bhadra, 2082. The construction work has been completed on time and the building has been handed over to the municipality. But the inauguration was yet to be done, said Dharmaraj Lamichhane, Chairman of Bakaiya Rural Municipality. "There is a program to inaugurate it on Wednesday by Bagmati Province Chief Minister Inda Bahadur Baniya."
The construction contract was awarded to the Sanjay Subani JV Construction Company. The office building was constructed on about 12 kattas of land at a cost of Rs. 79.5 million. The municipality's offices and branches will all be housed under one roof in the building,' said Lamichhane, the municipality's chairman. 'This is the municipality's 'Singh Durbar'.'
The Bakaiya Rural Municipality office is currently in Hattisunde. It has been providing services to the residents of the municipality from a single building. Of the 10 municipalities in Makawanpur, the administrative buildings of Manahari and Indrasarobar Rural Municipality are under construction.

Bagmati Rural Municipality, located in the far east of the district, has allocated a budget to construct a concrete building for the municipality's office in the current fiscal year. Bagmati Rural Municipality is providing services to the residents of the municipality by constructing a kucha building in Jhurjhure.
Hetauda Sub-metropolitan Municipality and Thaha Municipality have their own concrete and well-equipped buildings. The main administrative building of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City was set on fire and vandalized during the Gen-G movement. The building is currently undergoing renovations.
