One person has died after being hit by a bus in Madi, Chitwan. Two others were slightly injured in the incident that took place on Friday evening.
According to the details received from the Chitwan District Police Office, the bus lost control after hitting a pedestrian and fell into a field on the road.
The incident that took place in Gardi, Madi Municipality-1, in the southern part of Chitwan, was the death of Firal Mahato, 60/62 years old, of Seruwa, Madi-1, according to Chitwan District Police Office spokesperson DSP Rabindra Khanal.
At around 6:45 pm on Friday, a bus with the registration number Ba Pra 03-001 Kha 2887 hit Firal. He died on the spot. When the bus overturned on the road and reached the field, five-year-old Devans Mahato of Chirauli, Madi-2, and 30-year-old Sunita Mahato of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-27, who were also in the bus, were injured. Devans has an injury to his left leg.
Sunita has an injury to her right eye. Police have stated that their condition is normal.
