Madani Dairy Pvt. Ltd., located in Bethanchowk-1, Kavre, has honored 38 outstanding milk producers on the occasion of its third annual general meeting.

The farmers who consistently supply milk to the dairy and sell the most were honored with a bucket used for milk collection. The honored farmers had sold 2,800 to 14,000 liters of milk in a year.

The honored farmers are from Bethanchowk and Khanikhola rural municipalities, as well as Mahankal rural municipality of Lalitpur.

Madhani Dairy Pvt. Ltd. Chairman Madhav Dahal informed that the dairy has been honoring the best farmers every year with the aim of increasing milk production at the local level and attracting farmers towards commercial agriculture and animal husbandry.

Honoring the milk farmers, Bhagwan Adhikari, Chairman of Bethanchowk Rural Municipality, praised the farmers' hard work and said that Madani Dairy has played an important role in increasing agricultural entrepreneurship at the local level.

He suggested that the dairy management focus more on farmer-friendly services and market expansion in the coming year. According to him, the rural municipality has prioritized agriculture and animal husbandry and emphasized on road infrastructure development for agro-based industries.

Chairman Dahal said that since the establishment of Madani Dairy Pvt. Ltd. three years ago, the dairy has been significantly increasing its production capacity through collaboration with farmers and market expansion. In the early days, the dairy collected 750 liters of milk from local farmers, and now it is collecting 8,000 liters of milk daily.

Along with purchasing milk, the dairy has been providing farmers with insurance facilities for their animals, loans to buy cows and buffaloes, and technical support.
