A man has been shot dead in the remote Raksirang rural municipality of Makawanpur.
At around 10 am on Friday, 75-year-old Iman Singh Thokar of Raksirang-1, Kolgairi Thakuridanda was shot dead by a 64-year-old man from the same place.
According to the District Police Office, Makawanpur, preliminary investigation has revealed that the murder was committed due to an old RCEB. A team led by Police Inspector Deepak Thapa of the Area Police Office, Manahari killed him and caught him hiding in a nearby forest at 4 pm.
According to the police, the shooter Thokar was hiding in an unknown forest with weapons.
The police have recovered a Katuwa pistol, two rounds of bullets, one cartridge and 190 grams of gun powder from Thokar.
A detailed investigation into the incident is underway, informed Police Inspector Raju Kurmi of the District Police Office, Makawanpur.
