Police have arrested five people on charges of involvement in vandalism and arson in Hetauda during the Gen-G movement.

Police have arrested 27-year-old Poonam Thakur, 27-year-old Pramod Mahato, and 43-year-old Sagar Ghatane of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-8, alias Rom Bahadur Ghatane, on charges of vandalism and arson at the Bagmati Provincial Assembly Secretariat building and District Traffic Police Office, Makawanpur District Police Office spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati said.

Similarly, 36-year-old Sujan Adhikari and 35-year-old Surendra Magar of the same place have also been arrested on charges of arson at the house of 45-year-old Sushil Poudel of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-11 Nawalpur. Further investigation is underway with permission to keep them in custody from the Makawanpur District Court.
