The prisoners who escaped from Nakkhu Prison following the Gen-G movement were arrested in Hetauda on Thursday.

Police arrested Bijay Shrestha of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-13 from his home and sent him to Bhimphedi Prison to serve his sentence, said Deputy Superintendent of Police and  Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Makawanpur, Pushkar Bogati. Shrestha, who was sentenced to prison in a theft case, escaped by breaking out of jail on the night of Bhadra 24. 

Similarly, Makawanpur police have arrested a fugitive drug suspect and sent him to Bhimphedi Prison for remand. Anish Tamang of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-4 was arrested while hiding at home on Thursday and sent to prison for detention. 

Similarly, the police arrested the two absconding accused who were found guilty by the District Court, Makawanpur, on Wednesday. The police have arrested Bhim Syangtan of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-8 and Surga Bahadur Moktan of Manahari Rural Municipality-9 in a drug case. 

The Makawanpur District Court had sentenced Syangtan to 9 months and 13 days in prison and a fine of Rs 5,000 in a drug case. Similarly, Moktan was sentenced to 1 year, 1 month and 11 days in prison and a fine of Rs 6,000. Both were produced before the Makawanpur District Court to recover the prison sentence and fine. The court has sent both of them to Bhimphedi Jail.
