Makawanpur police have arrested five people with a large quantity of the illegal drug Tramadol.

Those arrested are Ashok Syangtan, 19, of Bakaiya Rural Municipality-12 and residing in Hetauda-15, Pravesh Bareilly, 20, of Hetauda-17, Nishan Koirala, 20, of Hetauda-4, Rajiv Lama, alias Boxer, 35, and Dipesh Sanjel, 23, of Makawanpurgadhi Rural Municipality-2. 

A police team deployed from the District Police Office, Makawanpur, arrested them while they were living in Sanopokhara, Hetauda-5. 8,300 capsules of Tramadol have been recovered from their possession.  

Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Makawanpur, said that the motorcycles they were riding, Na. 32 Pa 3244 and Ba. Province 005 Pa 185, have also been taken into custody. DSP Bogati said that the arrestees have been taken into custody after obtaining a time-limit for drug offenses from the District Court, Makawanpur.
