Of the 440 prisoners who escaped by breaking through the wall of the Bhimphedi Regional Jail on the night of Bhadra 24, 288 have been taken into custody, while 152 prisoners are still on the run.

A fugitive accused arrested from Bhimphedi

Makawanpur Police have arrested an accused who escaped from Bhimphedi Jail in Makawanpur on the night of Bhadra 10 during the Genji protest.

Ramlal Nyasur, 67, of Makawanpur Bakaiya Rural Municipality-4, who was being held in custody at the Bhimphedi Regional Jail for a forgery case, was arrested from Thingan Bazaar on Thursday by a police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Thingan. 

Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of the Makawanpur District Police Office, Pushkar Bogati, said that Nyasur was sent to the Bhimphedi Prison on Thursday for necessary action. 

Out of the 440 prisoners who escaped by breaking the wall of the Bhimphedi Regional Jail on the night of Bhadra 24, 288 have been taken into custody,  while 152 prisoners are still absconding. Among the absconders, 26 are Indian citizens.
