Four injured people who were caught in an avalanche while climbing Mount Yalung Ri in the Rolwaling mountain range were rescued on Tuesday morning.

Dolakha Police Chief Gyan Kumar Mahato said that they were rescued from the base camp of Yalung Ri on Tuesday morning. The rescue helicopter Everest is preparing to take the injured to the capital.

He said that 12 people, including foreigners and Nepalis, had gone to climb Yalung Ri. An Everest helicopter has reached Yalung Ri since Tuesday morning for search and rescue. Police said that Mingma Sherpa of Seven Summits is leading the search and rescue.

Police said that the search and rescue is facing problems as the area is without communication. The Nepali Army, Armed Forces and District Police, who had gone by foot, have not been able to reach . They have camped on the way and are heading towards the Rolwaling area in the morning . The avalanche occurred around 9 am on Monday while they were climbing the 5,630-meter-high Yalung Ri. 

10 Nepali guides, including 5 foreigners, had gone there . The avalanche buried all the participants in the climb at around 8:30 am .
