The body of Thapa of Dolakha, who had been missing from his home since Kartik 2, was found in the Hatticharan Community Forest on Sunday. The Area Police Office, Phaparbari, has stated that the body of Thapa, who had been raising chickens in Hattikhola for a long time, was found hanging from a sal tree. According to the police, Thapa's body was found one kilometer away from the chicken farm.
Locals had informed the police after seeing Thapa hanging while they were in the forest to collect grass and firewood. A team of police inspectors from the Area Police Office, Phaparbari reached the spot and after taking a note, the body was brought to Hetauda Hospital for postmortem.
Deputy Superintendent of Police and spokesperson of the District Police Office, Makawanpur, Pushkar Bogati said that an investigation into the incident is underway.
