The Hetauda-Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Sisneri-Dakshinkali road, an alternative short route to enter Kathmandu from Hetauda, has been blocked due to a landslide at Jyamire on Saturday afternoon on the Sisneri-Dakshinkali road section.
The Sisneri-Dakshinkali road has been blocked due to a landslide on the road in Jyamire, Indrasarobar Rural Municipality-3 due to continuous rain for the past few days.
It is not possible to remove the landslide as it is falling from above the road, said Pushkar Bogati, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Makawanpur, adding, "We will start removing the landslide from tomorrow morning, that is, Sunday morning." The police have stated that it is difficult to remove the obstruction as it is already night and the landslide is still falling.
