The Khurkot-Ghurmi section of the Mid-Hill Highway has been blocked after a landslide with rocks and debris fell on the Akkara Bhir due to incessant rains.

Ward Chairman Rabin Kumar Shrestha informed that even though a machine has been called to clear the landslide, it has not been possible due to the rains. Due to the landslide on the Akkara Bhir, vehicles traveling in Sindhuli, Udayapur, Okhaldhunga, Khotang, Solukhumbu, Bhojpur, Ramechhap have been stopped in Khurkot and Gwaltar.
Meanwhile, local Raj Mainali informed that vehicles have been held in Nepalthok due to landslides in places on the diversion road of the Nepalthok-Chowkidanda section of the BP Highway.
