After the BP Highway was blocked, public vehicles coming from the east have been using the Pushpalal Marg to reach Kathmandu. The District Traffic Police Office, Dolakha, has stated that the traffic pressure on the Pushpalal Marg has increased since Friday morning.

Vehicles leaving from Okhaldhunga, Udayapur, Solukhumbu and other districts have used the Pushpalal route as an alternative.

Earlier, after the BP Highway was blocked due to floods and landslides in Asoj, vehicles from that region had used the Araniko Highway via Pushpalal.

Similarly, foreign tourists who went on a trek to the Everest region have also started returning via this route. Traffic police have stated that most of the small and large vehicles leaving from Koshi and Madhesh provinces are going to the capital via Bardibas-Sindhuli-Khurkot,-Manthali-Charikot.

Due to continuous rain and thick fog on the highway, the traffic police have requested vehicles to drive with caution.
