Due to incessant rains, the Sanga road section along the Araniko Highway, bordering Bhaktapur and Kavre, has become muddy, and the road is only operational in one direction.
After a bullet vehicle carrying gas got stuck in the mud in Sanga, traffic had to be operated in one direction only, informed Jharana Sonar, Chief Traffic Police Inspector of the District Traffic Police Range, Bhaktapur.
According to her, vehicles going to Kavre via Bhaktapur have been diverted from Jagati to Chyamhsingh via a drain. She said that a crane was required to remove the bullet vehicle carrying gas stuck in the mud, and efforts are being made to open the road in both directions.
Yesterday (Thursday) morning, vehicles going from Bhaktapur to Kavre were diverted from a drain after a bullet vehicle carrying gas got stuck in the mud on the Sanga road section. Traffic Police Inspector Sonar said that even though some gravel was laid on the road section yesterday, today there is a problem of vehicles getting stuck in the mud again.
As the Suryabinayak-Dhulikhel road is being upgraded to 6 lanes, the Sanga area tends to become muddy after rain. When the road is muddy, vehicles traveling from Bhaktapur to Kavre often slip on the uphill road and have difficulty driving.
