7 people arrested for vandalism during Gen-G movement

7 people arrested for vandalism during Gen-G movement

The District Police Office, Kavre, has arrested seven people involved in vandalism during the Gen-G movement.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Bista, Information Officer of the District Police Office Kavre, informed that the persons involved in vandalism, arson and looting of various government and police office buildings and properties in Kavrepalanchok on Bhadra 24, 2082 have been arrested. According to him, they are Anish Sapkota, 28, of Panauti Municipality-3, Suman KC, 26, of Panauti-8, Sakar KC, 21, of Banepa Municipality-10, Samir Tamang, 19, of Bethanchok Rural Municipality-6, Hom Prasad Timilsina, alias Chiure, 32, of Bethanchok-3, Subash Tamang, alias Syanji, 24, of Panauti-2, and Nemasang Moktan, 23, of Mahabharat Rural Municipality-4.

Among those arrested, a case of indecent behavior was registered against Sapkota in 2072, a case of indecent behavior was registered against Timilsana in 2081, two cases of theft were registered against Tamang three times in 2081 and one case was registered against them in 2082 BS. He informed that they were arrested from different places on different dates. According to him, the remand of the arrested persons has been extended by the District Court, Kavre for 7 days and investigation is underway.

During the Gen-G movement, arson and vandalism were committed in Banepa Municipality, Area Police Office, Banepa, District Traffic Police Office, Kavre and other places.
