Indra Kumari Syangtan, 84, of Manahari Rural Municipality-7, died after being hit by a truck (Na 8 Pa 1256) coming from Chitwan towards Hetauda. Syangtan was walking on the side of the road when the truck hit her.
She was immediately taken to Hetauda Hospital for treatment. Syangtan died during treatment, according to the District Police Office, Makawanpur. The police have taken the truck driver into custody.
