A motorcyclist died in Khairhani, Chitwan on Sunday night after hitting a gas cylinder parked on the road.
Chitwan Police Spokesperson DSP Ravindra Khanal informed that 35-year-old Manish Bogati of Khairhani-2 died in the incident that took place at the Ladari bridge in Khairhani Municipality-2 on the East-West Mahendra Highway at 10:30 pm.
DSP Khanal said that the motorcycle with the number Bagmati Province 03-002 Pa 3230 driven by Bogati collided with the gas bullet with the Indian number plate HR 38 AF 6126, which was parked on the side of the highway due to a breakdown. Bogati, who suffered serious head injuries in the accident, died at around 11 pm during treatment at the Teaching Hospital of Old Medical College in Bharatpur. Police have taken into custody the driver of the gas bullet, 59-year-old Dashrath Prasad, an Indian citizen from Siwan, Bihar.
