Makawanpur police have arrested 11 people, including 6 women, from Hetauda while they were playing cards. The 11 people were arrested along with Rs 606,310 from a snack bar near Buspark Gumba, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-10, while they were playing cards on Saturday.

Police recovered 11 books of cards from the place where the cards were played. The police arrested the accused after receiving information that the cards were being played in the house located 500 meters east of the District Police Office, Makawanpur, said Pushkar Bogati, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Makawanpur. 

Those arrested include Basanti Blon, 35, of Karra, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-10, Ram Maya Rana, 50, of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-10, Hiramaya Thing, 50, of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-4, Shantimaya Tamang, 30, of Hetauda-4, Kanchhi Maya Blon, 66, of Buspark, Hetauda-10, and Sita Lama, 45, of Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-11.

Similarly, Hiralal Moktan, 35, of Karra, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-10, a food stall operator, Arjun Tamang, 37, of Bus Park TCN Road, Hetauda-10, Tum Bahadur Waiba, 38, of Nyureni, Hetauda-10, Rajesh Darnal, 27, of Jyamire, Bagmati Rural Municipality-5, Makawanpur, and Anil Thapa, 30, of Manahari Rural Municipality-4, have been arrested. Police have said that further investigation is underway against the arrested persons.
